AI Recipe – Low Carb Pizza
As part of our Cooking with AI series, where we’re making 1000 recipes with AI, I asked Orion to tell me how to make a low carb pizza. I didn’t give him any more specifics than that (although I could have). I then made the recipe just as he created it and I definitely recommend it.
You can view the full recipe below and even save it to your own MyFoodPlanet account to use it in your meal plan.
Why Make Low Carb Pizza?
Low-carb pizza is one of those culinary wonders that bridges the gap between health-conscious eating and the undeniable craving for a slice of delicious pizza.
Now, at MyFoodPlanet, we don’t really promote a specific type of diet. We just like good food, and if we can save some carbs and still eat well, we’re all about it. That’s the beauty of low-carb pizza, if it is actually good.
I wasn’t sure if this AI Low Carb Pizza Recipe would hold up to the standard, but it was actually quite tasty. Now, is it as good as your favorite delivery or pizza joint? Well, I won’t try to sell you on that, but it’s easy and enjoyable.
AI Low Carb Pizza Recipe: The Process
The Crust: There are a multitude of crust options for Low Carb Pizza. In fact, I could have been more specific with Orion and asked him for a cauliflower crust and specific toppings. In this case, without asking for a specific crust, he made us a recipe with an almond flour-based crust.
Basically, we added almond flour, a little bit of coconut flour, some cheeses, baking powder, and an egg together and formed a dough. Then, we rolled it out between parchment paper and baked it without toppings first.
Toppings: Since I didn’t ask for exact toppings when I asked Orion for an AI Low Carb Pizza Recipe, he basically just gave us a generic “toppings of choice”, which works for me.
You could top this pizza any way you like. For the test, we just made a cheese pizza, but you could make just about anything. Since the crust is baked first, it held up really well and I think it could support a lot of toppings.
Bake It Again: Once you have the toppings on your prebaked crust, you’ll bake it again to melt the cheese and finish the pizza.
If there was one thing I would change about this AI low carb pizza recipe, it would be the oven temperature for the last part. I would raise the temp to 400 or even 425F while I was adding toppings and then bake at that higher temperature to brown the cheese more.
